Magento 2 with ReactJS Headless frontend

For our customer, we ensured the expansion to the German market and at the same time the migration of the catalog from Magento 1 to the latest version of the Magento 2 system using AWS.

This migration included not only an upgrade to the latest version of the Magento platform, but also the implementation of a modern headless frontend using React and NextJs. This allows for significantly faster page loading and an overall better customer experience on both mobile devices and desktops.

If you have B2B and prefer, we can also recommend and integrate, for example, the Hyva template, which is fast and modern.

At the same time, at the customer’s request, we used the external Unbxd system for catalog management, search functions and product categories, which can also be solved with a more common (but more expensive) solution from Algolia.

The project included, among others

  • Creating a headless frontend on React technology and creating new GraphQL end-points
  • Migrating a significant amount of selected data from the Magento 1.x/OpenMage Swiss site to a new Magento 2 installation for the German market
  • Ensuring the development, testing and production environment
  • Customization and implementation of third-party modules
  • Connection to marketing, analytical and other tools
  • Optimizing the performance of selected parts of the system
  • Creating a deployment workflow
  • Long-term maintenance and support of new customer requirements
